Update

Sorry for the lapse between posts.  We had a busy season at the Navopatia Field Station this winter.

We were once again joined by a great group of student interns who did a fantastic job working in the field and helping run the station.  Thanks to Dan, Samantha, Sommer, Charlie, Steve, and Ana Maria.  Lydia Lozano returned again this season and was indispensable as always.

We continued our study and long-term monitoring of the Pitayal, as well as instigating new mist-netting and aquatic bird surveys.

We were joined by fewer guests this year due to the economy and Mexico’s undeserved bad press.  Over 50 people still came to visit, and a good time was had by all.

Several new species of birds were recorded this season, keep an eye out here for an updated list.

The Alamos Wildlands Alliance appreciates all of the support from our members and others.  If you are a member who has not recieved our annual newsletter or if anyone has any questions send and email to – navopatia@gmail.com

Thanks again to everyone.
